Asthma : Pathogenesis & Diagnostic Criteria
Bronchitis, bronchiolitis, and pneumonia are often diagnoses given to children exhibiting signs and symptoms of asthma. While underdiagnosis of asthma is a common action, there are other possibilities that could factor in receiving a correct diagnosis. What differential diagnostic possibilities are there for infants and children? How about the adult experiencing wheezing?

Multiple Sclerosis: Referral Process, Sources and Activities
Barriers, modifications and accessibility are housing issues that patients and families must consider when planning their long range planning. “Preventive Care: A National Profile on Use, Disparities & Health Benefits”
There is significant underutilization of effective preventive care in the U.S. which results in lost lives, unnecessary poor health and inefficient use of health care dollars. The National Commission on Preventive Priorities has identified 12 preventive services, of which, only seven are being used by about half or less of the people who should be using them. Of interest is that fact that racial and ethnic minorities are getting even less preventive care than the general U.S. population. There is potential in saving 100,000 lives annually by increasing use of just 5 of these preventive services. Can you name a few of these preventive services? Are you encouraging any of these practices in your work/vocation?
