Asthma: Elders’ Symptoms
Key diagnostic components for the elderly include a history of signs and symptoms of asthma as well as the patterns of occurrences and exacerbations. While many of the symptoms exhibited by children can also occur with your elder patient, there are additional considerations to be made when working with this population. Wheezing, cough and dyspnea are exhibited by both groups. What other acute symptoms may be experienced by your older/elder patient?

Rheumatoid Arthritis: Nodules
Rheumatoid nodules can be found throughout your patient’s body due to traumatic events as well as resulting from the disease process. Surgical removal or steroid injections are possible treatment options. There are six (6) possible complications in experiencing these nodules, including pain, infection and limited joint mobility. Can you identify the three (3) remaining complications?
