What's NEW at Athena Forum

Athena Forum's Ellen Fink-Samnick Wins
CMSA National Award of Service Excellence (AOSE)

Ellen Fink-Samnick, the 2016 recipient of the CMSA National Award of Service Excellence (AOSE) is the Director of Social Work Education for Athena Forum. She has served in that capacity since 2011. The AOSE national award is given to an "in-the-trenches," grassroots case manager whose day-to-day CM practice has transformed the field and contributed to the greater good -- not only for their clients but also for their community.

Through this distinguished honor, CMSA desires to recognize the extraordinary importance one individual can make through outstanding initiative, inspiration to others, and significant contributions to improving the quality of practice.

Ellen Fink-Samnick is Course Director for Care Management and Behavioral Health courses in the current Athena Forum curriculum for Case Managers, including Ethics in Case Management, Establishing Professional Identity, Depression and Harm Risk Behavior. In addition, she is a planning committee member and faculty on numerous courses such as Hospital Revenue Cycle, CM Express, Heart Failure and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. She also serves as the CMSA, NASW and CCMC Practice Standards expert for all case studies in the Athena Forum curriculum.
